Having worked in 100 countries worldwide, CHF has earned an international reputation as a “can-do” organization that is a catalyst for sustainable and positive change. CHF’s core expertise is developing programming to strengthen communities, improve habitat, and increase access to finance. CHF currently works on over 70 projects valued at approximately $725 million in 28 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and  Asia. As an international leader in shelter and infrastructure development, CHF has provided over 6 million beneficiaries with new housing or shelter improvements and municipal services in the last year alone.

CHF International has over 30 years of experience in a wide range of community infrastructure construction and rehabilitation programs. CHF’s role in specific programs varies from direct implementation of construction activities; to technical oversight and supervision of community-managed activities that meet community-identified priorities; to working with local governments to address infrastructure priorities through capital investment planning and budgeting. In every case, CHF places a strong emphasis on coordination and cost-sharing with relevant national government ministries and local governments, as well as careful planning to ensure sustained operations and maintenance.
